content creation is never as easy as it looks, so here’s how we’re doing 2 months in as pet creators, and what else we have coming up!
As an OG 2014 YouTube girlie who posted 12-minute-long makeup tutorials back in the day- the current social media trends have always been a bit daunting to me. And honestly? I’ve never fully commited to content creation since my teen YouTube days, until now with my cats.
For the past few years, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working in print media in the music industry. I also started managing social media accounts and marketing plans for my family’s agriculture business venture.

but- The need to create my own content has been stronger than ever lately.
A recent camera upgrade gave me the confidence boost I needed to really jump in. I went from shooting on an ancient Canon Rebel XSI to a brand new Canon R10- a major upgrade. Now- the biggest obstacle is still my neverending one: the apartment. Soon, we will have our dream game/cat room and catio, and I’ll be able to shoot even better content and I cannot wait for that.
Until then, I’m taking advice I scrolled by recently from another entrepeneur: being resourceful with what I have. I’ve also done some photoshoots recently with my mom’s gorgeous British Shorthair, Lady May. (Learn more about her on the about us page.) She lives in a super clean, beautiful home and I just know she’s going to be the perfect fit for some future UGC campaigns who want that look.

On the horizon: I’m shooting photos for the Ultimate Cat Conference in Lebanon, Tennessee next month!
I’m beyond excited to get involved in this event and connect with other professionals in the cat industry like Jason Galaxy and Hannah Shaw!
Beyond that, we are teaming up with PAW-UP next week to feature some of our favorite freeze-dried treats. Photo and video content will be posted to our socials and blog, and we’re so excited to work with them.
Juno’s above photo got featured in The Paw Print’s most recent cat calendar last week! And for our latest win, you’re actually reading it. Hopefully by the time you’re reading this, it’s a bit more complete! But I officially set up the blog this weekend, and I can’t wait to add my full UGC portfolio to the site.
